Conversions happen on your device

Most conversions offered by 123FileConverter — including images, text, data and archives — run entirely inside your web browser. For these conversions your file is never uploaded to us: it is read, converted and offered for download locally on your computer.

Server-side conversions

A few formats require processing on our server (for example office documents and ebooks). When you use one of these, your file is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection, converted, and then automatically deleted within one hour. We do not inspect, share, or retain your files beyond what is needed to perform the conversion.

What we collect

We do not require an account. We may keep basic, anonymised request logs (such as timestamps and rate-limit counters keyed to your IP address) to keep the service running and prevent abuse.

Cookies

The core converter sets no third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
